VILLAGE

(This village of plastic, tobacco and garbage-free India is an example for the whole world...)

We use plastic and polythene in our daily work. Knowing that it is harmful to the environment as well as to our health. One of the main reasons for this is that we have not found a better option.
Polyethylene is also a major source of the filth of the city and it is also fatal for the living organisms. The poor innocent animal swallows these polythene bags, which become deadly for them. Polythene and plastic waste are not completely destroyed. They also affect the fertilizer capacities of the soil too. Due to this, there are many side effects on our environment. In addition, collecting plastic garbage in the drains and drains, there is a danger of getting stuck. What is the rest of the river, the canal, we are all the rest. The main reason for the garbage collection is plastic.

Regardless of this, we use the polybag racket. One of the main reasons for this is that we have not found a better option. Recently in view of this problem plastic ban was done in Maharashtra. But this time a village of Nagaland has been declared as tobacco and garbage free with plastic.

ABOUT:-

This village is Sishunu village located 11 kilometers away from Nagaland capital Kohima. This small village of Nagaland has been declared a tobacco, plastic and garbage free village. In fact, a road and trail built under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) was formally inaugurated a few days ago. It was inaugurated by DSDa Kohima Project Director cum DPC, Alamla Chishi. Meanwhile, the village was declared as a tobacco, plastic and garbage-free village in the middle of the program. The villagers were vowed to implement it wholeheartedly.

Government officials have said that no tobacco product will be sold inside the village premises. Apart from this, smoking has been banned in other major public structures in educational institutions, offices, community halls, bus stops and libraries, and smoking tobacco products. To ensure that the village is adhering to the Tobacco Control Act, a tobacco control committee has been set up by the government, police, National Tobacco Control Program (NTCP) and village officials. It was kept to make sure that it should meet every once in a quarter and take full control over it. Cigarettes and other Tobacco Products Act 2003, the defaulters are punished for violating the rules. The Rural Development Ministry congratulated the residents of Sishunu as the village acquired all the three objectives through the funds given under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA).

The Ministry said through a tweet that:-

"Under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, Sishunu village, Tobacco, Plastics and waste were freed. We are proud to say this."

Now the village council has banned the throwing of any kind of garbage in the village, especially in throwing plastic in public places. Besides, the rules of penalties, including penalties for those who violated these provisions, were made.
Let us tell you that last month, the Nagaland Government had set deadlines for December 2018 to completely free the Plastic West. In November 2015, Nagaland State Government made mandatory for all road contractors to use plastic wastes with bituminous blends for road construction. This measure is being considered as a very useful step to help overcome the growing problem of plastic waste disposal in India.

On the one hand, the whole world is suffering from plastic and pollution pollution. This small village near Nagaland's capital Kohima has taken such initiatives and has set an example for everyone.
